It is reported that Anne Rice is now working on the pilot script which will be used for development of "The Vampire Chronicles" into a TV series. Anne Rice had recently announce that she has now gained back the theatrical rights of the novel, which is now the major factor in her decision to create a TV series.
According to Comicbook, Imagine Entertainment and Universal Studio previously possessed the rights of "The Vampire Chronicles", however, author Anne Rice certainly wants control over how the stories will be brought to life. Furthermore, she is excited to develop the TV series with the highest quality. Although the TV series is still on the process of negotiation and planning, fans are now impatient for more development of the series.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Anne Rice will be faithfully adapting the full story of Lestat as will be expected by the fans. It is reported that "The Vampire Chronicles" will start with "The Vampire Lestat". Currently, talks with TV producers are still ongoing, and Christopher Rice will be the executive producer.
However, rumors are rife that Ann Rice is currently working out a negotiation scheme with Netflix to air "The Vampire Chronicles" Series for the first season. Insiders have divulged that Anne Rice wanted a high quality series, which will truly bring her characters to life. Anne Rice Also announced that her greatest goal right now is to develop a "Game Of Thrones" style TV series, and the only way to obtain that is to work with Netflix.
