A new trailer for the upcoming co-op shooter "Phantom Line" has been released, and developer Antistatic Studio shared a playable demo through its official Discord.

The game is set during a paranormal crisis that makes the idea of a nuclear war a lot more attractive in hindsight. One of the more distinct features of the upcoming shooter is that it has demons that will shred you apart within labyrinths of red curtains.

Phantom Line Trailer and Demo

In "Phantom Line," players will have a selection of various artificial bodies that they will be able to control while trying to figure out a way to survive. The game's headline feature is the HUSK system, where you can switch between members of your squad in the middle of battle.

Players will be tasked with searching for various anomalies, which are paranormal activities that are hidden from the eyes of the public. You will encounter these anomalies while looking through an open-world map that features dynamic events, according to WCCFTech.

In "Phantom Line," you will be put into the shoes of an elite spec-op unit who works for Mortfield Industries. You have been chosen to take part in the Operator Simulation Program HUSK. This is where players can take their consciousness and use it to control an artificial body.

This allows players to make use of the HUSKs to explore the world, distract enemies, become a decoy, and be used in many other strategies to survive. The game takes you to the Iron Corridor, an area in Eastern Europe that was devastated by international tensions.

An Open-World Co-op Shooter

The announcement post on Steam explains that players will have to plan, prepare, and adjust their tactics to the open world. They will be able to gear up with various guns, weapon attachments, and night vision to prepare for whatever dangers they may face, Rock Paper Shotgun said,

If you choose to play "Phantom Line" solo, you will be given the ability to command other HUSKs to follow your tactics. On the other hand, your enemies will be split between regular soldiers, animals, and invaders from other dimensions.

The press release for the game notes that humanity is currently at war, and players will have to become one themselves in order to fight against the anomalous horrors. "Phantom Line" lets players augment their artificial bodies with "exotic elements" as they "Go die again" over and over.

Between your runs, you will travel back and forth between the battlefield and your main base to prepare. You can streamline your loadout and craft new equipment using resources that you gather while exploring the open world, according to PCGamesN.
