League of Legends latest champion, Jinx, is all set to debut as a playable character later this month, so to celebrate, Riot Games has produced a tasty music video in her honor. Remember those things? It's what MTV used to air before it became saturated with abysmal reality TV shows, with episodes of "Beavis and Butthead" providing the briefest but most delicious of intermissions.
The video is everything that Jinx is all about, namely, wonton destruction and a sassy dress code, with Agnete Kjølsrud from Norewegian metal group Djerv belting out the vocals.
Her Guns n' Roses styled appetite for destruction coupled with her penchant for mischief making is reminiscent of Borderlands 2's Tiny Tina, or Jamie Hewlett's "Tank Girl." And I don't care how big a Kubrick buff you are; Jinx's ability to surf bombs easily outranks anything Major Kong has ever done.
The video is more than just entertaining, offering a closer look Jinx's many enjoyments: bathing in bullets, decimating everything around her, and cymbal bashing monkeys. You'll also see how Jinx's grenades earned the moniker "chompers." Like a few other League of Legends characters, who fight from afar with magic, Jinx keeps enemies at bay with more "modern" fare; like a mini-gun, rocket launcher, and grenades, and most of her weaponry is in prime display in the music video.
With big guns, big thrills, and bigger explosions, I think it's safe to say she and Torgue would make for the perfect couple. Now, check out the video below.
Claims her official description, "Jinx lives to wreak havoc without a thought for consequence, leaving a trail of mayhem and panic in her wake. A manic and impulsive criminal, she despises nothing more than boredom, and gleefully unleashes her own volatile brand of pandemonium to the one place she finds dullest: Piltover. With an arsenal of deadly toys, she unleashes the brightest explosions and loudest blasts - all the better to shock and surprise the hapless authorities. Always just out of the law's reach, Jinx's favorite game is to toy with Piltover's finest - especially Vi."
Currently in beta testing, Jinx should be available as a fully fleshed selectable character later this month.
