Fox post-apocalyptic comedy "Last Man On Earth" season 3 featured another celebrity cameo in last Sunday's premiere episode, which left everyone still reeling. Just like the previous cameos of big-shot stars, the life of the celebrity cameo was short-lived. Now, what's going to happen?
'Last Man On Earth' Premiere Episode Recap
"Last Man On Earth" season 3 premiere saw the reunion of two of the beloved co-stars in recent television history, IndieWire said. Fans were treated to a rare but oh-so-brief "Mad Men" reunion on Sunday when Fox post-apocalyptic comedy premiered. The group spotted intruders on the beach in the season 2 finale and the group panicked and prepared for combat. When season 3 premiered, the Malibu group is still under siege by three armed strangers, The Hollywood Reporter added.

When Tandy (Will Forte), Carol (Kristen Schaal), Melissa (January Jones), Todd (Mel Rodriguez), Erica (Cleopatra Coleman) and Gail (Mary Steenburgen) decided to fight, they shot one of the intruders. The intruder wearing a hazmat mask and suit turned out to be none other than January Jones' former "Mad Men" co-star Jon Hamm. In a true "Last Man On Earth" season 3 fashion, Hamm's cameo was a bitter short-lived one.
What Will Happen Now?
Jon Hamm's character named Darrell revealed that the intruders weren't intending to shoot them. The Malibu group was all the more confused when he said that they have come in peace. After revealing Hamm's character, he's done with the show. To recall, Will Ferrell also guest starred in the same manner. While fans are still reeling from the idea that Hamm was part of the "Last Man On Earth" season 3 premiere, his death is a significant moment for Melissa.
Melissa will have to process murdering a man. More importantly, the Fox post-apocalyptic series gave "Mad Men" fans a finale they are longing for. Meanwhile, the show will continue to introduce new characters and confusion into the mix. "Last Man On Earth" season 3 airs Sunday nights at 9:30 p.m. on Fox.
