This year's crossover is by far the most ambitious one yet, bringing "Arrow," "The Flash," "Legends of Tomorrow," and "Supergirl" together. The Arrowverse had established an annual tradition in The CW ever since Barry Allen made an appearance on "Arrow" in 2013. The crossover expanded to another universe since then and this year, "Supergirl" joins the club.
The 'Superhero Fight Club 2.0'
The reason why such wide array of characters from the various shows will gather was revealed by SlashFilm in their recent report. For great characters to meet together is something that only an ominous villain can do. That being said, the Arrowverse crossover villain was revealed by The CW in their latest promo trailer for "Superhero Fight Club 2.0." While there's no footage of the actual event, characters from all four shows came together to tease fans with the biggest crossover yet.
According to the report, DC Entertainment and The CW spilled details regarding the "Superhero Fight Club 2.0." In a statement, Marc Guggenheim said that the crossover was inspired from the late 1980s, known as "Invasion!" This event featured the Dominators, which were responsible for vexing the Legion of Super-Heroes. To stay true to the theme, the executive producer of "Arrow" bragged their use of computer effects and cutting-edge prosthetics to achieve a film-quality finish.

More Details About The Villain
The report added that the Dominators are technically advanced aliens, which has the intention of invading the Earth. Along with other races, the Dominators plan to harness the metahumans and create a breed of their own to use as an army. Fans will just have to wait and see how the Arrowverse should pull off this story plot. This kind of villain certainly calls for "Superhero Fight Club 2.0" and all the metahumans across the universe.
The crossover usually takes place around December so fans should watch something out around that time. In early 2017, a small crossover will take place between "Supergirl" and "Flash. "The "Superhero Fight Club 2.0" may be the only four-way crossover this season. Watch the trailer below.
