"Modern Family" season 8 will kick off with a reunion of the three families (The Pritchetts, Dunphys and Tuckers) in celebration of Father's Day, E! Online exclusively learned. The season will premiere with the families coming together after their respective vacations to New York, Midwest and Mexico. Details from the website state that Claire (Julie Bowen) will face her usual struggle with her father Jay (Ed O'Neil) regarding the company. Both Claire and Jay return for work next season. Some hint that Jay may cause Claire some trouble.

Her husband Phil (Ty Burrel) will be seen immersed with his bizarre hobbies while Gloria (Sofia Vergara) finally sees some success in her business venture."Modern Family" season 8 fans will also see Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cam (Eric Stonestreet) entertain an array of interesting guests in their homes.

For one, "Caste" star Nathan Fillion will reportedly appear, playing the role of Rainer Shine the weatherman. Martin Short is also set to join "Modern Family" season 8 per Christian Today. Martin's character will work with Phil, doing the latter's calendar, pencils, water bottles and similar stuff.
