First Look at PlayStation Battle Royale's DLC Characters Kat from Gravity Rush and Starhawk's Emmet

Rev3 Games posted a video of Adam Sessler getting the first look at future PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale DLC characters Kat from Gravity Rush and Emmet from Starhawk, courtesy of Seth Killian. The characters can be seen beginning at the 1:23 mark. Check it out below!

Kat and Emmett bring even more diversity to the Battle Royale roster. True to her Gravity Rush nature, defying the laws of physics ain't no thang for Kat. Mid-air dashes and wall-walking are just another day in the life. When she's not pelting you with stage pieces using stage pieces, watch out, because Kat is a kicker.

With Starhawk as a traditional shooter, Emmett needed something to set him apart from Killzone's Radec. For that, he has his "Build-in-Battle," which calls in help from the sky, such as turrets and weapon pods that can mix up super attacks.

Counting these DLC characters (and the recently revealed boss) brings the character roster to 23. The complete list of playable characters can be seen here.

The best part of the addition of this new characters by far is the price. Mostly because there is none. Once the characters are released, both Emmett and Kat will be free to download for a period of two weeks. But after that period is over, expect the price to go up. PlayStation has said that it will remind people as time gets closer to the release date of the characters. The PlayStation blog promises to have "more information about these characters and more DLC news coming soon."

In addtion to the new characters come new stages as well. Kat brings in her own Gravity Rush themed level, and another stage promises to be a mix of WipEout and Heavenly Sword

Be sure to read our review of the game here, and check out Robot Chicken's take on Battle Royale here. Kat and Emmet are set to appear sometime in January.

PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale is out now for PlayStation 3.
