Double XP Reward and Patch Incoming for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on PC

PlayStation 3 versions got one, as did Xbox 360 versions, so it's only fitting that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on PC get an update too, right? Treyarch seems to think so.

The company tweeted that's just what they've been working on. They haven't provided a full list of what the patch will provide, saying only it "will include gameplay balancing as well as other improvements."

Now, it's well known that Treyarch is adamently against both cheaters and modders alike, banning anyone who gets caught practicing the ancient art of playing like a douche.

Seemingly more of a problem on PC versions than other platforms, Treyarch is toying with being a proponent of positive reinforcement for the future. When a fan asked if there would be "double xp to reward those players who dont cheat," the company tweeted back, "yes."

So, maybe nice guys finish last, but they are at least recognized. Eventually. Good job Treyarch. No word yet on when said reward may begin arriving to rule abiding players.

I wouldn't be surprised if a double XP weekend signaled the return of a certain map...

Since its release, Black Ops 2 has managed to gross over $1 billion, which is just another milestone for the shooter. Shortly after the game's launch, it was revealed that Black Ops 2 managed to set records as Amazon's most pre-ordered game ever. It also managed to hit a sell-through of over $500 million worldwide in the first 24 hours of its release, according to Chart-Track, and GameStop president Tony Bartel wrote that the retailer sold more than1 million units worldwide, and that "'Black Ops II' is shaping up to be our biggest game launch of all time."

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is available now on PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo's Wii U.
