It was first announced that Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" series will be adapted into a three-series movie. Not only that, the renowned fantasy novel is also set to have a TV series, which until now has no progressive development.
'The Dark Tower' TV Series Still Under Development
Although fans have been long waiting for the coming of "The Dark Tower" TV series, the filmmaker Ron Howard revealed that they are still developing the show. "But, we're developing the content in hopes for more movies that will cover the epic and the characters involved," he said, as per Cinema Blend. However, the 62-year-old star admitted that he is not yet sure in "what platform it will be on."
It has been said that "The Dark Tower" movies and the coming television series will be made to bridge the gap between the films. Indeed, the making of the Stephen King novel is quite ambitious, but they are now doing their best to work it out. Surely, the movie version of "The Dark Tower" will soon come as it is now in the works.

Meanwhile, as the TV series has no progress yet, Ron Howard talked about the coming "The Dark Tower" movie in an interview with Deadline. The producer confessed that he is a Stephen King fan and he had read the entire series of the novel and "broke them down." In fact, he presented his idea to the critically-acclaimed author to introduce Horn of Eld in the very first movie.
Ron Howard explained that Stephen King perfectly knew that they could use the elements of "The Dark Tower" novel in a new way, but still sticking to its original story. Also, they would have to "rebalance and refocus the narrative in a cinematic way." "The Dark Tower" movie stars Idris Elba as Roland the Gunslinger and Matthew McConaughey as The Man in Black and it will be released on Feb. 17, 2017.
