With boxing kangaroos and a robot with a chainsaw for a hand, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 already seemed just a wee bit crazy. Throw in some Mario's Super Mushrooms into the mix and now you've got a party, which is the case for the Wii U version, titled Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition. Check out the trailer below!
That's definitely how Mario should square off against Bowser.
We knew it was coming since E3, but this is the first real look we've had for Tekken on the Wii U. The Nintendo version further adds to the already well established customization for fighters. Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition brings in classic Nintendo characters for the Tekken fighters to dress as. You can dress Anna or Nina as Zero Suit Samus, Asuka as Zelda, Heihachi as Mario, Jin Kazama as Link, Alex as Bowser (though I think a Yoshi costume would be more appropriate) or Lee Chaolan as Fox McCloud.
No word on any other costumes, or how the Wii U's tablet controller would come into play, if at all. For Tekken enthusiasts, the Wii U Pro Controller should feel a little more familiar.
Exclusive pre-order offers like "The Snoop Dogg Stage" and "The Big Bikini Bundle" offered on the PS3 and XBox 360 versions, have not, as of yet, been announced for the Wii U version, but are expected to show up.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition hits the Wii U sometime after the console launches on November 18.
