Patrick Bellanca, designer for the Madden series announced that the Madden NFL '13 demo will feature four teams in two possible matchups.
The Super Bowl XLVI champion New York Giants will take on the San Francisco 49ers at Candlestick Park in a rematch of last season's nail-biting NFC Championship game. Giving Madden gamers a chance to recreate or rewrite NFL history.
NCAA Football '13 cover athlete, QB Robert Griffin III is featured in the game's other match-up, as the Washington Redskins take on the Seattle Seahawks. The game's demo showcases the new Seahawks' uniform designed by Nike.
The demo also gives gamers a sneak peek at the redesigned pregame presentation and the updated player and coach models. The game appears to have improved its broadcast TV-inspired segments by attempting to truly capture the look of an actual NFL broadcast game.
The lip-synch looks top-notch, Jim Nantz and Phil Simms' words match the opening and closing of theirs mouths perfectly, but they do look slightly robotic and stiff inside the booth. The coach models look like their real-life counterparts in face only. Their bodies are ridiculously muscular for men approaching the latter years of their lives.
On the field, you have access to everything that's new in Madden NFL 13, including Total Control Passing, the Ball Hawk mechanic, play action abort and the use of Kinect control on Xbox 360 for pre-play audibles, according to EA Sports' website.
Gamers can also win a free copy of Madden NFL 13, by completing a Madden NFL '13 demo game and sharing the results on Twitter with the hashtag #Madden13Demo. One winner every day will receive a copy of the VIP edition of Madden NFL '13 that includes bonus content and extras.
Madden NFL '13 demo will also allow players to create an in game player model of themselves, using Game Face. There is a lot of content included in this demo allowing potential buyers of the game to really test out the new innovations in the game. EA Sports seems to be trying to restore fan's faith in the franchise.
The demo will be available as a free download on Tuesday, August 14. Read more about how EA has attempted to innovate the Madden franchise here.
