In a quiet move that should've overshadowed every other story out of Comic-Con last weekend, Disney brought out their "hidden gem" on the Apple Store. Fix-It Felix Jr., the fictional game that takes center stage in their upcoming Wreck-It Ralph, is avaliable for free on iOS devices including iPod, iPhone and iPad.
The game's so incredibly simple that it makes sense you'll waste countless hours playing it. You control Felix Jr. as he fixes all of Ralph's wrecked windows, avoid projectiles and occasioanlly grab a thank-you pie from the fixed windows of tennants. The game still lives on your desktop at the official site, but now it can go with you to literally anywhere. Game Informer found the seemingly awesome, but wasted, arcade cabinets created for San Diego Comic-Con by Disney that let you pretend you were back at an actual arcade.
While it seems like a lot of effort to only use at a single event, we hope Disney will be shipping those cabinets around the country closer to Wreck-It Ralph's release on November 2nd. Otherwise, why would you make something so awesome and then just let it sit in San Diego for three days?
