Injustice is shaping up to be the mod for Mortal Kombat we're not really sure we ever wanted. IGN sat down with Ed Boon to get this 15-minute playthrough featuring Superman, The Flash, Batman and recent Arkham City villain Solomon Grundy. The opening animations are crisp and remind us more of Street Fighter's take than Mortal Kombat.
The action, as well, looks gorgeous down to how Superman goes from Clark Kent in the blink of an eye to Grundy's powered-up tombstone combo. Of course, the game's being played in chunks by Boon to show everything off like how the Batcave can be an armory depending on where your character's standing.
Injustice looks really good so far, but now we're left wondering how many other heroes and villains from the DC Universe will make an appearence. And just what is up with how clunky all the special moves seem to be? Maybe it's just the demo, but we hope it doesn't feel so stiff in the next video.
