Did you miss the Saints, the wetworks team that happened to enjoy masquerading as nuns gone into fetish overdrive? Most of the Internet seemed to bristle after the trailer was released for Hitman: Absolution that made the White Knights gather to call it exploitative? As if a game where you play a merciless killer given a number of ways to murder people for money and information needs to be morally black and white.
But this trailer provides the ICA's file on why the Saints were created, where they came from (MMA, jail, mercenary groups, a strip club) and how they became the most ruthless fighting force ever seen. Until they went to a motel and got blindsided by one guy in a rather crisp suit.
Among other tidbits hidden in the internal memos are fun moments with a lack of basic grammar:
"They can because they're fucking nuns [redacted] and people don't expect nuns to suddenly pull out automatics and starting[sic]blasting the shit out of things."
"Also, what's with these fetish costumes? I find them inappropriate and exploitative. They seem to [blank] purpose of the disguise?!" next to it, a note: "I will ask them." And there's a masturbation joke too.
But the end of the trailer has a surprise for those of you who thought the Saints wouldn't come marching back after their first run around with Agent 47. Ok, so maybe most of them won't be coming back.
