There are a few additions one needs when it comes to fantasy and science fiction shows. You could always make jokes about Skyrim and Game of Thrones. Or you could mash-up the various ways Sean Bean was foreshadowing his own (spoiler-related phrase for what happened to him). But nothing could really give the same satisfaction as the "vrrrm" of a freshly-powered lightsaber from Ned Stark and the ensuing battle.
In fact, it almost seems like this is a prerequisite for all shows with a massive cult following. Everyone should, at some point, find themselvees with a lightsaber duel whether it's Harry Potter or a mod in Team Fortress 2 with the Spy unleashing his own brand of dark justice via switchblade saber. Excuse the naming as we're sure it's to avoid the watchful, Sauron-like eye of HBO, but do enjoy this brief Star Wars-ian battle in ye olden days.
