Nuketown returns to Call of Duty: Black Ops II multiplayer when the combination prequel/sequel espionage thriller comes out in November. Only this isn't your granddaddy's Nuketown. Like everything back in the 80s that had to seem cool and hip, this is Nuketown 2025! No longer are you just running around stabbing and hiding behind corners waiting for someone to throw out a frag; in 2025 you're doing the same things, BUT WITH THE FUTURE.
From the press release , Mark Lamia, studio head of Treyarch, wants you to know how much multiplayer folks love it:
"Flat out, Nuketown was a blast to play before, and we're excited about the reimagined Nuketown 2025 in Call of Duty Black Ops II We can't wait to play with everyone come this November."
So what's different with Nuketown 2025? It's a downloadable pre-order map avaliable on launch day for Black Ops II that'll be made cross-platform. That means it'll be included in a future bundle for all of you non-pre-order players and the next time it becomes avaliable, there'll be some type of new zombie addition if the traditional Black Ops DLC release rate is kept.
As of now, it's "technically" free with just a pre-order, but a stand-alone price for the new Nuketown isn't known. Nor what's happened to Nuketown in the fourish decades since you last fragged there before being nuked at the end of the match.
