According to Andriasang, the recently revealed 3DS XL will get a little more padding for the pushing. The coveted Circle Pad Pro Expansion will come out at some point in 2012 according to a Q&A with Famitsu. The device seems to be designed for those who want to make their XL pad even bigger.
The attachment acts as a natural heft to streamline the portable controls to more traditional console controller feel. Released originally for the original 3DS and came specialized with Monster Hunter Tri G, Resident Evil: Revelations, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Dynasty Warriors VS and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
The "smaller" Circle Pad Prop runs for $22, so the XL's can't be that much more when released later this year. The XL version is confirmed for Japan, so it's only a matter of time until the U.S. gets their grip back on.
