Anarchy Reigns, the Platinum Games fighter, is not only getting released in the West, but at a seemingly huge discount too.
Hardcore Gamer found that the price was drastically cut at GameStop, Buy.com and a Canadian online retailer. It might be as an apology from Sega, who are releasing the game in Japan, as Max Anarchy, next month. It's currently set for US release during the first quarter of 2013. Why the extremely wide gap? Sega has lost money recently on anything that doesn't involve a really fast, blue hedghog or can churn out money like an established franchise. Hence they're worried about a game that features cult favorites like Bayonetta and Jack from MadWorld.
Then again, Platinum Games are also betting high on Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance for whenever that comes out. Anarchy Reigns could be the perfect way to relax, kick back and engage in a massive player-vs-player death match to keep players happy before slicing into things with a shockingly accurate degree.
