The announcement that Cartoon Network's Adult Swim and Valve are partnering up for something next week is like being told that Christmas is mere hours away. The official promo page tells us just to wait and that we'll "probably enjoy" what they're about to show us. But what could the TF 2 folks be waiting to show us that merits going to cable for one week?
For many, it's that we finally get to meet the Pyro. Team Fortress 2 "Meet The..." videos are notoriously funny, stuffed with in-game references and generally showcase the upcoming class announcements including multiplayer maps, weapons and modes. If you're not familiar with the videos, take a moment to sit back and enjoy the subtle complexity of a Sandvich. Valve even said back in February that the final "Meet The..." short would be coming soon. So why not on Adult Swim?
Depending on how much material they're going to show, we could even get the entire series played over the course of a week just to draw us further on. And if Valve are as adept at trolling as Adult Swim when it comes to bringing back stuff, maybe there could even be a nod to onion rings or the fact the company has an irrational fear of the number three.
