Kirby 20th Anniversary Game Looks Back At The Suck

The 20th Anniversary Kirby Collection finally gets a little more detail for it's release on the Wii on July 19th in Japan and later in the United States. Collecting six of the Kirby games, including Kirby's Adventure, Kirby's Super Star, Kirby's Dream Land, Kirby's Dream Land 2, Dream Land 3 and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, the collection spans the last two decades of Nintendo's own console releases in a weird twist.

The Wii-exclusive also offers a History mode, which includes such random bits of info as the release of a Kirby game coincided with the formation of the European Union . Which is particularly strange if you start tying global events into gaming releases, since all sorts of strange interpretations. You can check out the rest of the gameplay below, which really doesn't break any new ground or bring up any real surprises for a Kirby game. You eat things, take on their power, fly, barf stars, etc. It's all the same pink, sentient marshmellow.
