According to their cryptic tweet, your gamerscore may be worth more than bragging rights. The official XBox Live twitter sent out a hint that this fall would see a new way to get Rewards from your achievements and gamerscore. So level grinding in Skyrim and blasting away at guys in Max Payne 3 could finally pay off in some meager way.
Game Informer's wary about it, but they point back to the last time there was such a deal like this was all the way back in 2007. Even then, then the most you could net from a 10k gamerscore was a hundred Microsoft points and a free game.
There's literally nothing else on this upcoming update and reward system, but Microsoft is probably keen on giving gamers an incentive on using all their upcoming features like Internet Explorer and the Smart Glass application that are also timed to be released this fall.
We'll have to wait until then to find out more.
