Saint's Row The Third DLC Saved For Sequel?

File this under "Bwuh?" for upcoming sequels. THQ announced that the latest DLC for Saint's Row The Third, "Enter the Dominatrix," won't be released because it was so utterly groundbreaking that it had to be kept for a fourth Saint's Row game. The DLC originally took place immediately at the end of Saint's Row The Third and an alien warlord named Zinyak would invade the Earth, captures the leader of the Sants and puts them essentially into a Matrix-like Steelport.

This DLC, priced at $29.99 back in May, is now going to be incorporated into the sequel. From THQ's press release:

"'When I looked at the  Enter The Dominatrix expansion in production at Volition, I was blown away by the ideas and desire to expand the fiction of the franchise,' said Jason Rubin, THQ’s President. 'I asked the team what it could achieve given more time, more resources, and a broader scope for the project. We all agreed we wanted to play that   game. When it comes to Saints Row, it’s clear our fans want bigger, better, and even more over the top, and that’s why  Enter The Dominatrix will now be incorporated into a vastly expanded, full-fledged sequel, scheduled for calendar 2013.'

Added Rubin, 'We believe the potential for this sequel is far greater as a full-priced, full-length, high quality, connected experience.'"

The other reason for this? To raise THQ's stock profile and revenue for the next fiscal year, after losing UFC and some lay offs.
