Apple: MacBook Pro Retina Cures Battery Cost, Month-Long Wait Woes?

Apple has unveiled the next-generation MacBook Pro, the all-new ultra-thin professional laptop which has come with a retina screen display.. The new MacBook Pro comes with 0.71 inches thin MacBook Air design weighing under 4 and a half pounds.

Though the new Macbook Pro has come with innovative technologies, the reality that are striking customers has been the steep price. With its price tag, critics are dissecting every feature analyzing if it would be worth purchasing or upgrading. It all depends on the customer but if one can go all out for it, the user will be purchasing some amazing features.

Apple's Macbook Pro is powered by Intel Core i7, its fastest mobile quad-core processor, along with the next generation NVIDIA graphics, Retina-Ready Software and much more.  It comes with 2-nanometer single-die micro architecture and includes Hyper-Threading technology. Running up to speeds of 2.7GHz, 6MB of shared L3 cache, an addition of Turbo Boost  can speed it up to 3.7GHz and allows for apps like Aperture and Final Cut Pro to run smoothly.

The Macbook Pro is based on next-generation Kepler architecture with 1GB video memory. The NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M graphics processor provides faster graphics performance, up to 60 percent. It comes with a 5-million-pixel Retina display with two external displays.  This allows more efficient rendering of HD video and editing RAW photos.

Its impressive battery power comes with a built-in 95-watt-hour battery with up to 1000 full charge and discharge cycles. The Pro is also equipped with the latest three-stream 802.11n Wi-Fi5 and Bluetooth 4.0 wireless technology. Users can enjoy quality sounds from its advanced speakers and chat clearly with dual built in microphones. The iCloud stores content and users can access music, photos, calendars, contacts, documents from the device.

A drawback to the laptop's large-sized battery comes in the price.  According to Computerworld, the cost of replacing the batter will cost users $199.  To replace the non-Retina Macbook model, the price is $129.

Though the high cost of purchasing and maintenance of the new Macbook Pro may be a drawback to some, the laptop is still expected to be highly desired device for most.  Customers who wish to purchase a Macbook Pro will need to wait for Apple to catch up with production.  Stock currently is running low and based on reports, those ordering online will not expect to see their Macbook get shipped for 3-4 weeks.
