Sony's got the perfect way to prepare and destroy you for school. In a deal that's the same as Microsoft's from last month, Sony is offering any student or university faculty member the chance to get a free Playstation 3, Vita, $200 off Playstation products or 8 percent off select Vaio computers.
So why's this better than Microsoft? Rather than throwing you the low-end of the platform spectrum, you get either a wi-fi enabled Vita or 160 GB Playstation 3 instead of whatever generic model happens to be lying around the warehouse. The Verge points out that the laptops start out from around $750 and only go up from there.
The catch is simple: just be enrolled in, or work for a college. Now you've got an excuse to go back and get your Master's in Custodial Arts at Whatsamatta University.
