Google to Unveil Nexus 7 Tablet This Month with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

Google is reportedly to unveil its mysterious Nexus Tablet at the end of this month. It is said that the upcoming Google Nexus will be a 7-inch tablet that Google co-branded with a Taiwan hardware manufacturer, Asus.

On Wednesday, Phone Arena received a pair of computer screen pictures showing the front and back of the alleged “Google Nexus Tablet”.

Regarding the heavily rumored Android operating system that will be installed on the device, it is said to be Android 4.1 Jelly Bean instead of the 5.0.

The tablet will feature a quad-core NVidia Tegra 3 processor with 1GB of RAM.

From the picture, we can see that the tablet is white except the top of the back side, which is black. Several sensors including a bezel for video calling camera are on the top front and a rear shooter is on the back side.

On December 2011, Google’s Eric Schmidt said “in the next six months we plan to market a tablet of the highest quality”. Now it’s almost the end of the six months and speculations of the first tablet of the web search giant has driven many into frenzy.

On the other hand, since the Google I/O will be held on June 27, it is quite possible to assume that Google will unveil the 7-inch tablet at this conference. According to rumors, the new tablet will be priced as low as $199.
