As the Microsoft press conference rolls on, a few brief flashes of awesome debuted on top of the news that Microsoft plans to make our Xboxes connect with smart phones and tablets. But let's go back and focus on the games as they're still being revealed.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist features a sleeker (and younger) Sam Fisher taking down a terrorist camp using the traditional Splitner Cell toys like the sonic locator, door camera and bringing back the marker execution system from Conviction. The jarring detail is the lack of Michael Ironside's gravelly voice, making us think we're dealing with a younger Sam, but strange that Anna Grimsdóttír now seems to be in charge.
Halo 4 teased in-game demo of the Forerunners taking the fight to Master Chief while Cortana has an A.I. meltdown. Meanwhile, barely any game could go without featuring use of the Kinect whether it's to launch strikes in Splitner Cell or launching cannon balls in The Wrecker. As for Xbox exclusivity, Ascend: New Gods is coming from Signal Studios along with Twisted Pixel's LocoCycle and Matter, which looks like a puzzle game that heavily draws from Wall-E, Tron and Portal.
In-game footage from Tomb Raider, Resident Evil 6 and Dance Central 3 premiered as well, giving us a taste of what the upcoming year will bring us.
More from e3 as we see it.
