In the past, Daenerys' companions have been less than helpful or truthful. Everyone that she has trusted has turned out to be out for their own ends. Her brother being the first, as he was only using her to gain his own army.
An early maid double crossed her and the woman she trusted to save her husband actually killed her baby and left Khal Drogo a vegetable. Finally there's Jorah, poor love sick Jorah, who was selling her out to the crown the entire time. So she hasn't had a great run in making and keeping BFFs.
On the one hand, someone for her to talk to and help her with the burdens of running a kingdom would be lovely however, with her track record, there's likely to be something devious that comes up between the two.
