iPod For Your Skin, NJ Man Implants iPod Nano onto Arm

A young professional tattoo artist and body piercer, Dave Hurban, 21 has taken the world by surprise by implanting four magnets into his arms to attach the iPod Nano.

Hailing from New Jersey, Hurban has developed an innovative way to not misplace his iPod calling the project iDermal which is also a strapless watch that he claims to have invented.

"Those magnets are actually called micro-dermal anchors, and in body piercing they are very common. The tops are actually just 5 millimeter magnetic tops," said Dave Hurban in an interview with Digital Trends. "When people see this, it's like they've seen something that no one else has done, ever, it's just such a crazy concept," added Hurban.

With Apple continuously upgrading its products, there have been reaction about his body piercing may be affect once the iPod is upgraded. However, Hurban's love for body piercing may have taken over this one.

"I did it because I'm living in the now. I did it because it's cool now. Even if they do come out with a new iPod, the fact that I did this when this iPod was out, that's what matters," added Hurban in the interview with Digital Trends.

Hurban's stunt seems to have brought about different reactions and criticism. A video of his piercing has been uploaded onto YouTube showing off how he went about doing it.  The video shows Hurban explaining the procedure and how this makes for a strapless watch or an iPod attached to it.

"I must have talked to like 400 people individually," Hurban told Reuters. "Every person I showed, they were like so amazed," he added.

Hurban claims that the iPod stays securely in place even during jogging and what he has done is definitely taking people by surprise.
