Razor Thin MacBook Pro, Redesigned iPhone 5 Debut at WWDC (Rumors)

According to the latest reports, it is highly likely that Apple will be presenting its new razor thin MacBook Pro at June's WWDC, Worldwide Developers Conference, in San Francisco this year.

It's new 15 inch MacBook Pro laptop will look to trim away more weight and material to bring together a highly powerful piece of hardware that will be very portable.

"Instead, the new 15-inch MacBook Pro is described as being an ultra-thin version of the current MacBook Pro. Basically, the prototype design is a thinner, yet more robust, version of the late-2008 design," 9to5Mac's Mark Gurman reports.

A list of new specs include Intel's new Ivy Bridge third generation chip, Retina Display, Flash Memory, HD display screen, extended battery life, and USB 3.0.  The new laptop is rumored to be less than .95 inch thick and is a cross between Apple's ultra thin Macbook Air with hardware power from a MacBook Pro.

The WWDC may also see the rumored launch of Apple's newly designed iPhone 5 alongside the MacBook Pro.  Reports are hinting that the iPhone 5 may be going through revised design changes after  a Chinese based supplier "SW BOX" revealed new components that belong to the new iPhone 5 Smartphone.

The leaked images of headphone jack, speakers, and Wi-Fi cable parts may suggest a redirection in design away from past iPhones.  Like the MacBook Pro, the device will look to have a slimmer body and encase more powerful specs.

The 4-inch screen display with thinner design are one of the speculations that have been swirling. The new iPhone 5 will come with a larger expanded 4-inch screen display and that iPhone 5 could come 20 percent thinner than the other iPhones that have been launched so far.

"The new iPhone will indeed be longer and thinner than the iPhone 4 and 4S. Approximate measurements are 125mm by 58.5mm by 7.4mm-a 10mm jump in height, nearly 2mm reduction in thickness, and virtually identical width," as reported in iLounge.

As for the iPhone Home button, photos of the new button were also leaked by a Chinese wholesale online retailer TVC-Mall.com which offered "iPhone 5″ home buttons for sale. The buttons are slightly different from the previous iOS device and the images show a circular button with a rounded, square-shaped border. With Android Smartphones coming out without home button, speculations of the iPhone 5 going button-less have circulated.

Other top rumored features and discussions relating to iPhone 5 have gone viral such as the Mini Dock Connector.

Apple will do away with its 30-pin Dock Connector and instead is planning to replace it with a mini dock connector which will have 16 pins. The hole of the dock connector is rumoured to have be "pill shaped" rather than rounded rectangle. This is a step for Apple to make space for other new technologies to be included in its products as reported by iMore.

iPhone 5 is also rumored to come with Liquid Metal casing to make the phone more durable and less weigh. It may also be made from the Gorilla Glass 2 which can be manufactured thinner.  If the rumors are to be considered, there is possibility of Apple changing the aspect ratio adding additional pixels on the top and bottom of the screen.

"The extra height of that display relative to today's models would have an effect on apps, as app developers would suddenly have to adapt to a different screen size," writes CNET.

The launch date of iPhone 5 has been debated and discussed with possibilities in either in June during the World Wide Developers Conference or maybe in October. Whenever Apple decides to bring the most awaited iPhone, we hope that the rumors going on will not just be rumors.
