Rumors are rife that the next generation iPhone 5 would be released this summer with speculations of significant redesigned looks and concepts. Predictions are also surfacing of possible release date sometime in October as well.
Fuelling up the buzz is also the release of photos of the phone's Home button by a Chinese wholesale online retailer TVC-Mall.com and started offering "iPhone 5″ home buttons for sale.
The buttons are slightly different from the previous iOS device and the images show a circular button with a rounded, square-shaped border. With Android Smartphones coming out without home button, speculations of the iPhone 5 going button-less have circulated.
"Regardless of what Apple does with this part, its existence deflates rumours that Apple will be using a capacitive home button, or a gesture area instead of a physical button," said iSource.com.
Following up on rumors, the new leaked iPhone 5 will come in black and white with a home button. Speculations are that Apple is bound to come out with a redesigned external look. The new iPhone might come with a liquid metal body enclosure with also a bigger screen.
"Many sources in the supply chain are of the view that Apple is going to add a bigger screen this time around to the iPhone. Various Android powered Smartphone's already tout screens of 4.5-inches and up," reported geekwithlaptop.com.
The report added that since Android is probably the only serious competitor for the iPhone 5, some sources believe that the next iPhone just might have a screen of 4.0-inches. There have also been rumors that Apple's iPhone 5 will feature LTE 4G networking speeds powered by a quadcore A6 processor.
In a report from Cult of Mac, Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray said, "We believe the iPhone 5 launch is likely to follow the new typical pattern established with the iPhone 4S of an October launch. We expect the iPhone 5 to not only include a revolutionary newly designed body, but also support LTE and utilize the Qualcomm 28nm baseband modem."
With so much of speculations going on about the release date and designs of the new iPhone 5, we will have to wait and see what Apple comes up when it finally launches this summer or in October.
