New DLC for FF XIII-2: Mass Effect Armor and Octopus Villain

Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be seeing a bit of Bioware flavor as Square Enix revealed new DLC featuring the N7 armor from Mass Effect 3's hero Commander Shepard.

Players will have the option to purchase this new costume for FF XIII-2's characters Serah Farron and Noel Kreiss. This will just be the beginning of several more outfits scheduled for release.  The bonus costumes are available thanks to the collaboration of Electronic Arts and Square Enix, according to reports from Siliconera.  The two companies have been working together to bring Mass Effect costumes.  A release date of March 27 has been reported by Japanese magazine Famitsu.

Additional features have been reported for Final Fantasy XIII-2.  New Downloadable content will allow players to attain the octopus looking villain Ultros and Typhos, from Final Fantasy VI, to add to their squad.  This can be done by defeating Ultros and Typhos in a coliseum battle.  The trick is you have to do this on the same launch date for the Mass Effect outfits.  Do this successfully and the monsters will be added into your team.

There has not been official confirmation that the Mass Effect N7 Armor will be available in the US.  There also has been no signs that equipping the armor outfits will bring any beneficial abilities to the Final Fantasy XIII-2 characters.
