This year marks Final Fantasy's 25th anniversary and Square Enix plans on celebrating with Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, the first music rhythm game from the franchise for Nintendo 3DS.
Square Enix plans to include over 70 musical scores spanning 25 years from past games into Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. The title features music from key moments, lush environment themes and epic battle scenes.
The game will features a hybrid of music rhythm gameplay with RPG elements. Adorably re-designed heroes from Final Fantasy titles will set out on an adventure to combat memorable villains with the rhythmic taps of the player's stylus. Fans can revisit their most cherished memories from each Final Fantasy title. Players have the challenge to increase ranks, collect dark notes in search of hidden items, and unlocking secret characters.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Final Fantasy franchise has shipped out over 100 million units worldwide. Theatrhythm Final Fantsay will be available for the Nintendo 3DS this summer.
