Fans who loved the classic characters from past Final Fantasy titles may be excited to hear that Final Fantasy XIII-2 plans on releasing downloadable content featuring characters such as Gilgamesh from Final Fantasy VI and Jihl Nabaat from Final Fantasy XIII. Characters from Final Fantasy VI are also rumored to make an appearance, possibly Kefka, Ultros, or Kaiser Dragon.
According to reports from Silconera, Final Fantasy XIII-2's new DLC may feature an epic battle featuring Gilgamesh in a Coliseum. Players who defeat Gilgamesh will possess a crystal along with adding the new character on their team. Gilgamesh has been a recurring character throughout the Final Fantasy franchise. It may be no surprise that he makes an appearance in Square Enix's latest Final Fantasy title.
Jihl Nabaat may or may not be added onto a player's team. No confirmation yet on her role in the game, but she is also rumored to be included in a Coliseum battle.
No word on an official release date, though new FFXIII-2 downloadable content was recently updated. Square Enix released a Serah beach costume and a Sazh pack which enable players to add him as a team member. Chocolina is also available for searching chocobos.
