No More L.A. Noire DLC, but a Sequel is Possible Says Rockstar

Gamers who are seeking a sequel to L.A. Noire will be pleased to know that there is a high possibility that Rockstar will develop it, but not anytime soon.  According to Rockstar, there is desire to continue the L.A. Noire franchise but due to the limited bandwidth and several games in the company's pipeline, the sequel is currently taking a backseat.

Rockstar answered some questions asked by fan via Twitter, Facebook and emails. An answer to one of the questions about a sequel was posted by Rockstar below:

"While there won't be any more DLC or additional content for the current release of L.A. Noire (we're all too busy working on Max Payne 3, GTAV and other games to come), don't count out the possibility of a new game in the L.A. Noire franchise in the future. We simply have not decided anything. We're all very pleased with how that game turned out and are considering what the future may hold for L.A. Noire as a series. We don't always rush to make sequels, but that does not mean we won't get to them eventually - see Max and Red Dead for evidence of that - we have so many games we want to make and the issue is always one of bandwidth and timing."

From the answer, it seems that Rockstar may follow the success of L.A Noire with a sequel. L.A. Noire received numerous acclaims from gamers and critics.  Also, the game sold pretty darn well.

Rumors were that L.A. Noire saw its end when the company Team Bondai closed down.  The recent announcement shines some good news upon the L.A. Noire title as Rockstar still possess the ability and desire to make the sequel a reality.  Fans who may feel that the wait for L.A. Noire 2 will be too long to bear may rest easy  Other upcoming Rockstar titles such as Max Payne 3 and Grand Theft Auto 5 will look to keep gamers entertained until that day arrives.
