We're fast approaching the release of Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 systems on August 19. Chris Fox, the game's developer, wants to get players ready for the oncoming horde, so he's giving us a brief strategy rundown as well as showing off some of the PS exclusive content launching with the game.
Garden Warfare On PS3 And PS4 Will Get All Previous DLC
The previously announced Hat Packs take their inspiration from several popular franchises. Players can equip their plants or zombies with caps from Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Clank and even Fat Princess. Obviously plants fighting zombies is hilarious, but there's something even more hilarious about plants wearing hats. It's odd, it doesn't make sense and yet, so funny.
Sly Cooper and Ratchet and Clank will be available to those who pre-order the physical copy. Fat Princess, on the other hand, is a digital exclusive.

Chris will be playing his co-designer Jeff Shaw today at 10 a.m. PST, 1 p.m. EST via Twitch to show off how the game plays and feels on the PlayStation 4.
The original post, found on the PlayStation blog, highlights the split-screen (yes! split-screen!) co-op survival mode. He offers some sage advice to those who find themselves garden warfaring for the first time. "With just two plants versus all of Dr. Zomboss' minions, character selection is key. While all characters can be successful, choosing complementary classes can help to turn the tide in your favor. The Pea Shooter and Sunflower are natural companions. He's a mid-range specialist, and she's a healer. Pretty obvious stuff, I know."
And adds, "But what you might not know is that the Chomper and Cactus make quite the formidable pair. The Chomper's ability to bite right through armor allows him to take care of pesky Coffin and Outhouse zombies, leaving the Cactus free to snipe ranged zombies from a safe distance."
Be sure to tune in to hear Chris speak at length about the ins and outs of the game via Twitch today. The game hits August 19.
