FromSoftware just opened up registrations for the beta test of the spin-off "Elden Ring Nightreign," which will be held in February 2025 at specific dates and times.

Players are now able to sign up on the game's official website for the network tests that will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Currently, there is no information regarding a PC version of the planned beta test.

Registrations Now Open

The official website said that the scheduled network test is a preliminary verification test where chosen players will be able to play a portion of the full game. It added that the developer will examine various technical verifications of online systems by conducting large-scale network load tests.

FromSoftware originally announced "Elden Ring Nightreign" as a multiplayer-focused spin-off of its highly popular soulslike "Elden Ring." It would allow several players to team up and take on challenging bosses in co-op gameplay, according to the Video Games Chronicle.

The game is set to be published by Bandai Namco and is scheduled for a 2025 release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The original game was released in February 2022 and got a singular expansion with the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.

Bandai Namco has not yet officially detailed what players can expect to see in full with the network test for "Elden Ring Nightreign." However, the studio warned that there could be text and game features that will be different when the full game launches, IGN said.

In the network test for the game, there will be up to three players who can party together and challenge their chosen Nightfarers to battle. They will go against new terrors and explore an ever-changing map that features increasingly difficult bosses as well as the Nightlord.

The publisher revealed that each cycle of the spin-off game will start in the Roundtable Hold, where players can choose from eight characters that have unique abilities and "Ultimates." Additionally, the Limveld map that players will travel in will shrink every night while introducing a new boss, according to Engadget.
