Developer Warhorse Studios teased more of the upcoming sequel "Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2" with hands-on previews that showcased the best aspects of the game.
The previews begin immediately following the conclusion of the first game and show Henry and Hans Capon going on a journey across medieval Europe to deliver a message. However, the situation immediately turns awry after an ambush by bandits targets Henry's group.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Previews
While Hans and Henry were able to escape the threat with the help of a local medicine woman, the latter was severely injured after a fall. This is what sets up how the players lose most of what Henry had learned in "Kingdom Come: Deliverance."
The intro is a bold opening that establishes Hans and Henry while also resetting everything that came in the original title. This means that players are forced to once again build a character up from the ground, according to the Video Games Chronicle.

In the opening hour of "Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2," Hans, Henry, and the rest of the group are seen sitting around a campfire recounting their past adventures. This is where new players come in, letting them decide what kind of person they want Henry to be.
The game's combat system also feels familiar to fans who played the first game and focuses on angle-based deflection and riposting returns. The early hours playing "Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2" were somewhat clumsy, which is what fans expect to get better over time.
A Chaotic and Immersive Open World
One of the opening quests for the sequel tasks players with engaging in a bar fight in the starting town of Trosky. Later on, when you have progressed far enough, you can go back to that bar and apologize to the barkeep for the disturbance that you caused, PCGamer said.
Another feature in "Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2" is that NPCs in the world will treat you differently depending on how you dress. A lot of them will treat you like dirt while you still wear your beggar's gear but will treat you with respect if you have fancy clothes on and a few pieces of jewelry.
True to the franchise, "Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2" is a freeform open-world historical RPG that features various systems in play. One of the most important is giving players access to upgradeable character stats to make Henry stronger.
There are also some new features in the sequel, such as the ability to switch between three clothing loadouts at a whim, according to Rock Paper Shotgun.
