Adelaide Kane, in her instagram post has announced that "Reign" Season 4 is definitely coming back next year, however, the series has also been cancelled for Season 5. Although the actress was saddened by the cancellation, fans are assured that the upcoming season will be full of drama and shocking twists. Now reports are claiming that "Reign" Season 4 will bring back one of the most important person in Mary's life, Francis.
According to Gamenguide, showrunners Laurie McCarthy and Stephanie SenGupta will be bringing several casts to help Mary in securing her throne in "Reign" Season 4. For one, Torrance Coombs, who plays Bash will be part of the season finale. Although the star has recently been cast for ABC's "Star-Crossed", he will be appearing on and off screen, to maintain the series' momentum.
Although "Reign" Season 4 is currently under production, showrunners revealed that the series will run with a 16 episode storyline, enough to provide appropriate closure for the characters, as well as to give satisfaction to the viewers, Hollywood Reporter reports. Fans will be happy to know that the upcoming sequel will bring more revelations.
With the casts coming back, rumors are rife that Francis, played by Toby Regbo, is not at all dead, but is a prisoner of Elizabeth. To recall, Mary held the dying Francis in her arms, but there was no revelations after that. Insiders have divulged that Mary and Bash will discover Francis, under Elizabeth's care. "Reign" Season 4 will reveal Elizabeth offering Mary a deal, to free Francis in exchange for Mary's crown.
