The Salvatore brothers are currently dealing with the devil himself, Cade, who happens to be unbeatable since he created hell itself. Stefan who made a deal with him is reportedly becoming his ripper self again by switching off his humanity. Now, reports are claiming that in the next episode of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, Stefan's evil side will create great havoc in Mystic Falls, placing Caroline and the rest in danger.
According to reports, "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, will be revealing a darker Stefan, in which not even Damon can control him. Having the power to control the mind, it is reported that Cade will enjoy playing games with Stefan. Caroline on the other hand, will try to save Stefan, but unfortunately, she could not ask for help.
According to ComicBook, "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 winter finale brings news twists in the storyline. For one, the Salvatore brothers are now the newest loyal servants of the Devil himself, Cade. Reports entail that being the devil's servant may be the hardest problem to overcome.

In the recap episode, Entertainment Weekly reports, that Cade has brought Stefan back in 1971 where he was in his ripper self. It was during this year that Cade chose Stefan. Fans will expect more revelations between Cade and Stefan in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8.
With Stefan under Cade's curse, rumors are rife that in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, Caroline is risking her life to save Stefan, in which it can only be done through making a deal with Cade. It seems that the Mystic Falls Vampires have no choice but to make a deal with the devil. Moreover, it is also rumored that Cade may be developing feelings for Caroline. However, these reports have yet to be confirmed.
