Xbox One reveal happening late November, Ubisoft clue hints

Sony has struck first, providing fans with an official release date for its next-gen console, the PlayStation 4, but we're still waiting for the same from Microsoft and the Xbox One. November has been hinted at, but Microsoft still hasn't provided anything official. However, it seems like Ubisoft has a few clues that actually hint at a potential release date for the Xbox One.

Microsoft has already confirmed games that will be out on launch day for the Xbox One, including both Activision's Call of Duty: Ghosts and Ubisoft's Watch Dogs. While Ghosts is scheduled to arrive on Nov. 5 this year, Watch Dogs won't be out until Nov. 19. Of all the games on Microsoft's launch list, it seems like only Watch Dogs has the latest confirmed release date.

Going from this, Kotaku went ahead and offered as many as five different scenarios that would show how the next generation console from Microsoft is actually set for a late November release. The report takes one such instance and states: "The Xbox One comes out between November 1 and November 14, with Watch Dogs launching earlier on Xbox One than it will on any other platforms, including PS4, which is getting timed-exclusive levels for it. THIS IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY."

Another instance states: "The Xbox One comes out between November 19 and November 29, on or after the release of the other versions of Watch Dogs but not after Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year. SEEMS LIKELY."

What we can basically derive from these instances is that there is an implication from the two separate pieces of knowledge that the earliest Xbox One launch date we can expect is Nov. 19, or else Microsoft would never have specified it with Watch Dogs being available from day one.

Yet another instance offers a Nov. 30 release date for the console that misses the highly anticipated Black Friday shopping festival by a day. However, that is one of the most unlikely of situations with no real reason why Microsoft should miss such a great business opportunity where the company can take a massive step toward making its financial goals real.

As of now, a rep for Xbox has told Kotaku, "We haven't announced a specific date. We've only confirmed that Xbox One will launch in 13 markets around the world in November 2013."
