With over one billion users worldwide, WhatsApp remains to be one of the most popular text and call messaging app. Recently, the company released its latest WhatsApp update that will surely entice users because of its practicality and time saving feature.
According to reports, the WhatsApp Update now allows users to stream videos while simultaneously downloading it on the device. Unlike other applications wherein, you need to download the whole video before you can start watching it, WhatsApp scratched that feature with their own version of streaming.
The WhatsApp update is applicable to videos received on the chat window. Streaming will continue while you download; delivering a YouTube like video downloading where it also scraps the idea of letting the download finish before you can watch it.
Unfortunately, this new WhatsApp update is said to be available on the Android platform. Reports revealed that, it may arrive on a later date for the iOS and other software platforms. This new feature is next to what the company recently released; the WhatsApp video calling feature. In this feature, users will only need to tap on the video cam icon on the right, top portion of the screen and they can start the video calling feature immediately.
Just recently, the WhatsApp video calling feature has been the target of scammers online. It came in the form of a video call invite that lure users to click on a link and they will arrive at a totally different website.
WhatsApp has since addressed the issue, advising their users to be more careful when clicking on such invites. First off, users don't need an invitation to activate the apps' video calling feature. It is automatically included on the latest WhatsApp Update. For the user's part, they only need to download the latest version of the app to enjoy the feature.
