With the recent release of the opening movie for "Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep," Square Enix's strategy in hyping up "Kingdom Hearts" fans is on a roll. The company just announced that every "Kingdom Hearts" games will be available on PlayStation 4 in 2017. Although fans question the inclusion of "Kingdom Hearts III" on the console, which is yet to get a release date, releasing the game exclusively for PS4 might be a huge possibility.
Following the premier of "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" on January 2017, "Kingdom Hearts" 1.5 and 2.5 Remix games will be up for grabs on the 31st of March next year. Of course, the highly anticipated "Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep -A Fragmentary Passage" is set to keep every game enthusiast's heart racing.
To recall, "Kingdom Hearts 1.5" was released for PS3 in 2013, which features a cinematic version of "358/2 Days," the remastered "Kingdom Hearts" original, and "Chain of Memories." In 2014, "Kingdom Hearts 2.5" was released for PS3. It contained a rereleased version of the mobile game "Coded", "Birth by Sleep" -- originally for PSP -- and "Kingdom Hearts II." Meanwhile, fans are encouraged to watch out for more updates regarding "Kingdom Hearts 0.2."
By 2017, PS4 owners can own one disc that includes two movies and all "1.5 and 2.5 Remix" games. "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" on the other hand will have a cinematic version of "Unchained X", originally a Web browser game. Also included is "Dream Drop Distance" and of course, 2.8's highlight is "Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep-A Fragmentary Passage."
Undoubtedly patronized by countless gamers, it is pretty much safe to say that "Kingdom Hearts" is one the biggest gaming franchises. As stated by Square Enix themselves, KH has sold more than 21 million games since its 2002 inception. The statistics will inevitably change when the year 2017 enters. With the upcoming release of "Kingdom Hearts 0.2," those numbers are going to be more amplified.
