For starters, Carrie Coon from "Gone Girl" will portray the lead role in "Fargo" season 3. The official synopsis describes Gloria Burgle - Coon's character -- as a practical woman; the one who makes the right decision in the midst of a crisis or panic. Burgle also sits at as the head of the Eden Valley police. A single mother, she finds the society odd given its attachment to various devices.
Another character that fans can look forward to is Nikki Swango, portrayed by "10 Cloverfield Lane" star Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Swango is a parolee, who seemed to be a step ahead of everyone else. She is said to have an agenda that fans need to find come "Fargo" season 3. Another one is "Halt and Catch Fire" star Scoot McNairy as reported previously by GameNGuide. His role hasn't been disclosed as of publication.

Meanwhile, Ewan McGregor joins "Fargo" season 3 once more, acting alongside Carrie Coon as the male lead role. It appears that producers are so taken with McGregor that they've cast him twice. The "Trainspotting" star will portray the role of Stussy brothers. Emmit Stussy is the elder brother known as the Parking Lot King of Minnesota. On the other hand, the younger one -- Ray Stussy -- is the exact opposite of his handsome and successful brother.

Series creator Noah Hawley is currently working on "Fargo" season 3 plot. Revealed during a conference call with FX president John Landgraf, "Fargo" season 3 is set in 2010, where society is so focused on themselves. He also hinted that another character will be returning for season 3. "Fargo" season 3 will resume air time sometime in spring 2017, starting production November of 2016.
