NBA Trade Rumors 2016: Celtics Pursuing Jazz Guard Gordon Hayward? Utah Jazz Says No? Swingman Gets Injured Finger!

Boston Celtics coach Brad Stevens was Gordon Hayward's mentor at Butler that is why it has been rumored that Utah Jazz's swingman is being pursued. Every NBA team seems to want an excellent wing man, obviously. Getting an excellent player like Hayward is not easy, though.

Reports of Gordon Hayward suffering a broken left fourth finger do not seem to stop the news that Boston Celtics is pursuing the Utah Jazz swingman. The injury will keep him on the bench for as long as six weeks. Surgery will still be determined depending on the extent of the injury and perhaps his speed of recovery.

However, according to ESPN, Gordon Hayward is likely to stay with Utah Jazz in spite of Boston Celtics' interest. Zach Lowe predicts that Utah will win 50 NBA games despite Hayward missing the first 20 games because of his injured finger. Last season, the Jazz men were able to bag 40 games to their name.

How does Utah ensure that Gordon Hayward stays in their team? Before Hayward goes into Free Agency as a free agent, the Jazz should be able to secure him tightly. He should not able to sit down with Danny Ainge, Tom Brady, Al Horford, Isaiah Thomas, especially with Brad Stevens who will convince him that Boston Celtics is the best team to win a NBA championship.

Some NBA experts believed that Boston Celtics could really use an excellent player like Gordon Hayward. The team has no superstars but it is packed with versatile players who complement each other. Who knows the Celtics could even surpass the 50 wins predicted for Utah Jazz? Standing at 6-foot-8 and weighing 230 pounds, Hayward can easily guard a number of positions in the NBA court. Do you think Utah Jazz should trade Gordon Hayward to Boston Celtics?
