Throne and Liberty just released for Western players on PC and consoles. The Amazon Games and NCSoft title opened big, peaking at more than 326,000 Steam player count.
The highly anticipated release of the MMORPG comes after it spent five days in early access. This is where interested players were able to spend money to get access to the MMO earlier than other people.
Throne and Liberty's Full Launch
During the early access period, Throne and Liberty peaked at a Steam player count of just below 57,000 over the weekend. This also did not take into account the Xbox and PlayStation players who also bought the game's early access packs.
The recent global launch was always expected to see numbers surge as players no longer had the cost-to-entry barrier that they faced before. Since the launch of Throne and Liberty's servers, the studios were forced to increase capacity and open up new worlds to meet demand, according to MMORPG.
If you are willing to enter into an early access server, you have to be ready to not be able to transfer to a live server for quite a bit. Many expect that the game's player count will fluctuate throughout the rest of the week and into the weekend as more content is unlocked.
This is also as more people start getting days off and get more time to actually explore the world of Throne and Liberty. On top of the high player count, the game already had around 6,000 reviews that have averaged to "mixed" so far.

NCSoft developed Throne and Liberty and the game has been live in South Korea since December 2023. The max level in the game is 50 and it has a variety of dungeons, world bosses, and PvP features, Hardcore Gamer said.
In particular, the MMORPG's campaign story is relatively impressive and is quite immersive, even comparing it with other games in the genre. Furthermore, Throne and Liberty's voice-overs and cinematics were a nice touch that kept players engaged with the lore.
Problematic Server Issues
The global launch and subsequent hype for Throne and Liberty faced server issues where some players were not able to get into the game. Some people have reported getting messages saying that they have been disconnected from the servers.
There were many posts on social media platforms talking about the situation. They described players not being able to progress beyond the star menu. The developers immediately went to investigate the problem to provide a fix, according to Game Rant.
