After a year-long hiatus, "Fargo" season 3 will reportedly start production in November. Latest spoilers suggest that the upcoming season will feature old and new characters. That being said, speculations hint that Ewan McGregor and Carrie Coon will lead the impressive cast next season.
'Fargo' Season 3 Starts Filming On November?
"Fargo" season 3 should start production next month if words of series creator Noah Hawley should be followed. Entertainment Weekly confirmed as early as December 2015 that "Fargo" season 3 won't return until spring of 2017. "You won't see it in 2016," Hawley admitted earlier on. "It's a winter show, and we don't have the time to film this winter." The report suggests that production for season 3 will likely begin in November of 2016, with "Fargo" season 3 storyline taking off a few years from season 1, in 2010.
More so, "Fargo" season 3 spoilers suggest that new characters will have a link with some of the old favorites. However, it was emphasized that season 1 cast may not have key roles in "Fargo" season 3. Noah Hawley said that there's a danger of bringing back past characters. He said that the artifice is too obvious; the scenarios become unrealistic. As such, reports have confirmed Ewan McGregor and Carrie Coon will lead the cast in season 3.

Ewan McGregor has been confirmed to take on the lead role in "Fargo" season 3, Deadline earlier reported. He is the first actor to be confirmed to take on the lead role in the third installment of "Fargo." The "Trainspotting" actor will portray dual roles: brothers Emmit and Ray Stussy. Meanwhile, "Gone Girl" star Carrie Coon us reported to take on the female lead alongside McGregor. Coon will play Gloria Burgle, Eden Valley's police chief.
Adding to the impressive cast is "10 Cloverfield Lane" star Mary Elizabeth Winstead and "Halt and Catch Fire" actor Scoot McNairy, GamenGuide earlier reported. Fans should expect more updates about the cast and plot details of "Fargo" season 3 as it starts filming. "Fargo" season 3 is expected to air spring of 2017 on FX.
