Fans just can't get enough of "Narcos" season 3 even with the death of the powerful Pablo Escobar. Since the show has established itself to be about cocaine, the story will move deeper into Colombia and unveil the webs of deceit inside the system. More so, spoilers indicate that fans may see the return of Los Pepes too.
'Narcos' Season 3 Dives Deeper Into Colombia
The death of Medellin Cartel's drug patriarch last season teased a Cali Cartel story arc come "Narcos" season 3. Series creator Chris Brancato revealed juicy details about the upcoming season to The Hollywood Reporter in a recent interview. While the death of Pablo Escobar was inevitable, many fear that without Wagner Moura's mesmerizing portrayal of Escobar, "Narcos" Season 3 will flop. However, Brancato promised to deliver a different aspect of the cocaine business in Cali Cartel.
It should be noted that the Rodriguez Orejuela brothers operate far differently from Pablo Escobar. The men from the Cali Cartel were more subtle compared to their Medellin counterparts. The cocaine industry was operated sophisticatedly, employing internationally renowned lawyers as their spies inside the government. The Cali also adapted techniques from the terrorist groups by creating independent units, with each unit knowing little about the others. However, Cali Cartel's story arc may probably last the entire "Narcos" season 3 to give way to the vast Mexican Cartels.

Los Pepes To Return?
With the Cali Cartel story arc in "Narcos" season 3, the idea that the vigilante group Los Pepes may also return sprung up. To recall, the Cali used the group to execute their plans against Pablo Escobar and his cartel. A report from Small Wars Journal suggests that the shadow vigilante group may return after a short hiatus following Escobar's death. With Cali Cartel's sophisticated movements, the Colombian government was forced to reinstate the group to serve as their intelligence. Los Pepes reportedly penetrated the Mexican Cartel as well.
After the Cali Cartel story arc in "Narcos" season 3, fans are looking into season 4 as early as now. In fact, they are expecting to see Mexico's El Chapo on season 4, which the series creator is excited to explore. "Narcos" season 3 will air early in 2017. Check out the teaser clip below.
