"Supernatural" Season 12 will give Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) more challenges to face. Mary (Samantha Smith) has resurrected and will reunite with his sons. Aside from the Winchesters to be reunited, God and Amara (Emily Swallow) may appear in the upcoming season.
According to Entertainment, "Supernatural" Season 11 revealed that God and Amara are siblings. The season concluded with the siblings' reconciliation. The reconciliation ended Amara giving Dean a gift, and that was resurrecting their mother.
Showrunner Andrew Dabb shared that "Supernatural" Season 12 is not going to focus mainly on God and Amara. This does not mean that their story ends but rather their story continues behind the scenes. In fact, God trusts Sam and Dean and will leave it up to them on keeping peace with humanity.
In a report from Headlines & Global News, "Supernatural" Season 12 has Sam taken by the Men of Letters. Dean will do anything to take on Sam's kidnappers. Aside from Dean finding Sam and facing the Men of Letters, he also confronts the reunion with his mother.
Meanwhile, Lucifer is on the loose. He gets to find another vessel in order to destroy the brothers. Lucifer takes on a rock icon as his vessel in "Supernatural "Season 12. The role will be played by Rick Springfield.
Sam and Dean will be busy dealing with their past, now that Mary is back in "Supernatural" Season 12. They also have to face the threat of the Men of Letters and the two demons Crowley (Mark Sheppard)and Ruby (Katie Casiddy) come back only to find out that Lucifer wants to destroy all the demons after he is done with humans.
"Supernatural" Season 12 will also introduce new characters. Alicia is Mark's sister who is also a hunter. The role will be played by Kara Royster.
Fans and followers can expect Sam and Dean's adventure in "Supernatural" Season 12. The series will air on October 13, 2016.
