A first look at the much anticipated sequel to "Fifty Shades of Grey" titled "Fifty Shades Darker" reveal of Christian Grey (Jaime Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) swap masks in a masquerade.The second installment is all about Anastasia still longing for Christian to be part of her life.
In a report from Variety, a poster and a teaser trailer has been released by Universal Pictures. The poster of "Fifty Shades Darker" reveals Dornan placing a mask on Johnson while the trailer teases an invitation to slip into a shade darker.
They decide to give their romance another shot with a new arrangement. As they begin to explore their second chance, Christian's past begins to haunt him even more in the forthcoming plotlines for "Fifty Shades Darker."
As they rekindle their romance, new problems arise. Anastasia's new boss, Jack (Eric Johnson) takes an interest on her. This gives Christian reason to be jealous on the guy. Meanwhile Ana also meets with Ellen Lincoln (Kim Basinger) in the upcoming scenes for "Fifty Shades Darker."
She is the older woman who introduced Christian to the kinky lifestyle that he is enjoying. She is also his business partner. Christian's ex-girlfriend Leila (Bella Heathcote) will also cause problems to his relationship with Ana. It seems that their relationship will haunt Christian's present when "Fifty Shades Darker" returns on the big screen.
According to Digital Spy, the retuning casts are Marcia Gay Harden who plays Christian's mother. His siblings are Rita Ora as Mia and Luke Grimes is Elliot. Max Martini returns as Christian's bodyguard Taylor. Christian Grey's personal psychiatrist is Hugh Dancy as Dr. John Flynn.
Ana's friends return to the movie, Victor Razuk plays Jose and Eloise Mumford is BFF Kate. Additionally, Tyler Hoechlin will portray the role of author Boyce Fox. Meanwhile, director Sam-Taylor Johnson is not coming back to work with "Fifty Shades Darker."
There are reports that he is in disagreement with author EL James. Director James Foley is going to direct instead. EL James also added her husband Niall Leonard to be the replacement screenwriter since Kelly Marcel is not returning. Fans and followers of "Fifty Shades Darker" can expect for the airing of the film on February 17, 2017.
