"Grimm" season 6 will be the final season for the supernatural series as announced by NBC on Monday. After years of cancellation rumors, it seems NBC finally decided to end the urban fantasy thriller after season 6.

"Grimm" season 7 will no longer air according to NBC on Monday, Variety reported. In a press release on Monday, NBC announced the premiere date for season 6, which will air starting Jan. 6, 2017. "Grimm" season 6 will be the series' season finale.
Back in April, "Grimm" hit its 100-episode mark. The series first aired in 2011 and became a staple on Friday nights. "Grimm" season 6 was rumored to be the series' last after NBC ordered the 22-episode order down to 13 per TV Line. "We've been talking about that for three years," Silas Weir Mitchell (Monroe) said. "Like, is this the end? We don't know."

Bree Turner (Rosalee) added that the cast has been very present, appreciative of what "Grimm" has reached. She said that it was a super fun ride. David Guintoli (Nick) shared her sentiments and said that "Grimm" season 6 won't be a funeral season, rather it would be a gratitude one.

"Grimm" season 6 will see Nick facing a familiar enemy in Capt. Renard (Sasha Roiz), who currently sits as Mayor of Portland. Nick will do anything to protect the city and his loved ones, especially his child with Adalind (Claire Coffee). Nick and his allies will bring all efforts to ensure peace in the city.
In "Grimm" season 6, Monroe and Rosalee will struggle to bring a child into the chaotic world. Meanwhile, Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) will face disturbing identity issues as her other self struggles to break free.
